On this Wednesday 18th/February/2026, over Sixty(60) UR-Huye Student Leaders successfully completed a two days' AYLF leadership training on the principles of a highly effective leader which took place on 14th and 15th/February/2026 in partnership with University of Rwanda - Huye Campus. This was an inspiring, impactful and transformative moment to all the participants and a commitment to strive for effectiveness in their leadership journey as individuals for the betterment of the community under their care. 

It was also a mind opening to the student leaders and University of Rwanda administration that: I quote: “the character of a leader is as essential as his/her capacity/knowledge to lead because all the leader's actions, achievements, legacy, vision etc. are sustained or destroyed by his/her character. Capacity building without character building creates clever Evil Doers.” - said Dr. Pascal K. HAKIZA, the Co-founder & country Director of Africa Youth Leadership Forum who facilitated the training together with Mr. William Kinunu, the Rwanda country director of Cornerstone Development Africa and Mr. Peter Nkotanyi, principal at Cornerstone Leadership Academy.
