On 20th/07/2025, Africa Youth Leadership Forum conducted an impactful and inspirational “Annual Young Leaders Breakfast Network Gathering - 2025” event that brought together over 150 young leaders under the theme: “Leading with Values; a Heroic Compass to Leadership Effectiveness and Positive Impact”. - “At its core, leadership is about influence. And when this influence is inspired by a set of good values;… effectiveness, positive impact towards a common vision and national development are inevitable. And the world today is in critical need for such great leaders and Africa Youth Leadership Forum (AYLF) is the right platform where you can become one”. said Dr. Pascal K. HAKIZA, the country director of Africa Youth Leadership Forum

Thank you very much Brig. Gen. Ronald RWIVANGA - Spokesperson at Ministry of Defence & RDF for the great and transformative message to the young leaders in this gathering. Indeed, every Rwandan especially the youths has a secret duty to lead with values because our country's future depends on these good values… and you brought it so well from the military context on how Values-based & Heroic leadership can inspire effectiveness and positive impact at individual, national and African continent level.

Timothy Kreutter, the founder member & Director of Cornerstone Development Africa, a mentor and patron to AYLF also spoke to us on how values are very important in person growth and leadership effectiveness where he went deeper and explaining by referring to different leadership styles such as: Transformational leadership, Super Leadership, Ubuntu Leadership, Heroic Leadership etc which are all built on a set of values as a foundation.

The gathering served as a vital platform to inspire youth towards leadership anchored in integrity, patriotism and service.
